Three Paleo Christmas Cocktails

Three Paleo Cocktails

Last week we talked about what types of alcohol are bad, better and best options when choosing to indulge while staying paleo (Missed it? Click here). Today we wanted to share our top three paleo cocktails just in time for Christmas – all made with fresh ingredients of course! With it being summer here in New Zealand we’ve opted for beachy, fruity and crisply refreshing tastes. Let us know if you try any of the below!

Three Paleo Cocktails

Rum Coconut

Delicious, refreshing, and full of summer flavour. Use a highball glass filled with ice cubes.

  • 60ml of white or light gold rum
  • Top with coconut water
  • Add a fresh slice of lime (squeeze the juice in first, if desired)
  • Drink and enjoy!

Paleo Sangria

Full of fruity goodness, with a zing of fresh Sauvignon Blanc, this drink can be made in a big pitcher or drink dispenser and served to your friends easily.

  • Pour into your pitcher or drink dispenser a bottle of dry white wine, Sauvignon Blanc is ideal
  • Add ice if it’s a hot day, or if you want to slightly dilute the alcohol
  • Add fresh grapes, oranges and strawberries and let the fruit soak for an hour or two
  • Drink and enjoy!

NorCal Margarita

No paleo cocktail list would be complete without this classic, invented by Robb Wolf. If you like tequila then you will love the taste of this (and those who don’t, maybe try only 15ml of the alcohol instead!)

  • Fill a glass with a couple of ice cubes
  • Add 30ml of tequila
  • Top with soda water
  • Squeeze a teaspoon of fresh lime on the top
  • Swizzle it around
  • Drink and enjoy!

What’s on your cocktail list this Christmas season? Cheers from PICK + PALEO!
