Smoothies are amazing. They’re so quick and easy to make yourself, they’re filling, and you can practically pack your entire 5+ a day into them if you wish. They’re also good for grab-and-go breakfasts and many cafes offer several paleo options. Today, we are sharing three amazing and interesting paleo smoothie recipes with you. We like to think they’re more flavoursome and exciting than the usual so hopefully you enjoy them too!
For our last smoothie today we have a delicious Paleo Green Smoothie. Green Smoothies are a polarising drink – some people love them, some people can’t stand them. I sit firmly in both camps – if someone makes one for me it’s usually delicious; if I attempt to make one myself it usually tastes like brown sludge… until now. This recipe is amazing. It might look a bit like brown sludge, but rest assured it is really tasty and packed full of nutrients.The coconut sweetener we love to use is found here.
- 2 Kale stalks, chopped
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1 tablespoon acai powder
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
- 1 tablespoon coconut sweetener
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
